About

Christina Ellison is an author, editor, and proofreader from Texas. She is in her final year of her MFA in Creative Writing, Editing, and Publishing from Sam Houston State University and holds a BFA in Creative Writing from Stephen F. Austin State University. Her studies examine the intersection of realism and folklore through the lens of the coming-of-age narrative in fiction.

During her time at SHSU, Christina was as an editorial and publishing fellow at TRP: The University Press of SHSU and was managing editor of The Measure. While at SFASU, she served as a writing tutor as well as a fiction and proofreading editor for HUMID.

Christina is currently a composition instructor at SHSU, a fiction co-editor for table//FEAST literary magazine, and a staff writer for Subtext literary magazine. Her work appears or is forthcoming in various journals including tiny wren lit, Defunkt, and Hyacinth Review.
